A year of intention

For the year 2023, I embraced the word ‘Intention’. I wanted to be deliberate in the choices I made and actively listen to my experiences so I could live purposefully, knowing that life is what I make of it.

Here’s what I learned:

  • Listen with curiosity to what comes up in the body

Our heart and gut each contain millions of neurons. We can trust our body’s wisdom to communicate what’s truly going on, if we give space to listen.

  • Use what you discover as a guide for future endeavors and decisions

Allow yourself to learn through this bodymind. Have grace. Take this newfound insight and allow yourself to embody the knowing for future interactions.

  • Trust in your intuitive knowing

Remember the millions of neurons in your heart and gut? Yep, your body knows. Start listening when they speak up.

  • Change takes time

Progress isn’t linear and “one thorn of experience is worth a whole wilderness of warning” - James Russell Lowell.

Being in our bodies can be different for us all and for a variety of valid reasons. If being in connection with your body is challenging for you but the desire to connect with this deep knowing is there, trust that you know what’s best for yourself and know that I’m always here and happy to help.
